Who will I cheer for in Valencia for the final MotoGP race of 2015?
The 2015 MotoGP championship is a farce!? A rider should not be able to affect a championship! MotoGP should look to NASCAR or Supercross competition rules for integrity. When a NASCAR champion is crowned… you know they won it fairly. If anyone gets in the way of a championship outcome, NASCAR comes down like a steel hammer! Just ask Michael Waltrip Racing. I’ve seen Supercross racers let people by to allow a championship battle to go unhindered. A racer must respect the championship battle especially when only two remain with a chance of being crowned champion.
I love Marc Marquez but I also cheer for Valentino Rossi. However, Marquez is not having a good season. He is already out of the championship battle. So when he is interrupting the championship outcome, he is going over the line. I know he is a racer and wants to win, and can certainly win any race. But his season has been mediocre. There are only 2 races left to decide the champion and Marquez doesn’t have a chance to better his position by racing Rossi so hard. He should respect and allow the championship battle to be between the two contenders and just let Rossi and Lorenzo race it out. The better man wins, takes the championship crown and goes into the record books as 2015 champion. But after the last 2 weeks, there is a cloud over the crown if Lorenzo wins. His championship will come with an asterisk noting that Marc Marquez helped in some races that allowed Lorenzo to win. Now if Rossi wins, that would be an achievement worthy of a crown.
